Hello world!

Greetings and Welcome:

This is something that has been percolating in my mind for some time, and, due to circumstances beyond my control, has finally happened.  This was supposed to start at the beginning of the new year, but…

Here, I will take famous short quotes and roll them around in my head, then spill them on the paper for all to see.  I plan to have several sections for each quote, starting with the quote itself.  Next will come the dissection and discussion, followed by (when possible) confirmation of the quote by a link to another source, and finally a link to a bio of the originator of the saying.  Some sayings have been repeated a few times over the centuries, and it is likely that (from time to time) I will attribute the quote to someone other than your favorite person.  Please be gentle.
